My husband and I decided that we would visit more local beaches during the summer. We love being near the ocean. My husband especially loves being near the water because he is a surfer. He always surfs at San Clemente, but he has never been to the San Clemente pier. Here is a link to San Clemente.

I didn’t know that the Metrolink and the Amtrak travel through San Clemente beach. It adds a different kind of scenery to the beach setting when you see a train passing by the local beaches. There are quite a few visitors going into the train and getting off of the train.
We enjoyed some ice cream at this local “Beach Ice Cream & Coffee.” It was super delicious. We ordered one scoop of pistachio and one scoop of dark chocolate ice cream.
Next, we decided to go to the Laguna Beach, which was 16 minutes north of San Clemente. Here is the link to Laguna Beach.

We also found a tiny park within Laguna Beach that has a private spot to view the ocean. Actually, I wouldn’t call it a park because it’s just an alley with a view. I was confused at first when I saw the sign because I was expecting a large green area. They had chairs and a table made of copper in the alley. The brick walls added a nice touch to the park alley.
At the view spot of the park, we saw this quote made from copper. I could only read part of the quote, but it is a very nice quote. There were a lot of carvings on the wood panels of peoples’ names and their lovers’ name.
We also found a beautiful lane lined up with different restaurants and stores inside Laguna Beach. The lane is called Peppertree Lane. I felt like I was in a Harry Potter movie when I walked through this lane.
It is interesting to see how Laguna Beach provides a free shuttle to the visitors and the local residents. We waited for one of them to come and when they did, the driver told us that she was going to take her break. We decided that we would walk a little more around the beach and get more exercise until we reached our car.
